GoLive Go No More...

I enjoy reading about history -- I revel in how things have developed over time. How civilizations have come to power, and have fallen. However, these epic events of the past usually take hundreds if not thousands of years to develop.

The world of technology obviously moves at a much faster pace. In my own "short" career in the field of computer publishing and design, I have also seen the rise and fall of companies and products. And now, history counts yet another fallen product.

Adobe GoLive has now gone the way of the Syquest drive. It is now in heaven along with FreeHand and LiveMotion.

We will miss you GoLive.

I can't say that I will miss GoLive, but it's too bad Adobe couldn't turn it into a Frontpage killer for the consumer market. Seems like a lost opportunity.

I liked GoLive in the very beginning but Adobe freaked me out with InMotion!

Hi Mordy,
I think you can add Image Ready to that list.
Wanted to ask you about how do you see the future of Fireworks, will applications like Photoshop or maybe DW replace it?

Great blog.

here here... freehand and golive where 2 of the most user friendly pieces of software available - until Adobe got hold of them.

Adobe need to get a grip - their software is so bad that I am now battling to get it purchased by our company financial guys purely because our studio constantly complains about how backwards it keeps going...

Please someone we need some competition...
