Remember when...

My buddy John Nack posted this on YouTube -- it's the original video that was included (on VHS) in the box with Adobe Illustrator when it first shipped. Ah, things were so much simpler back then... Enjoy!

That is amazing how dated it feels. I was not aware that Illustrator started out without colour. Which version introduced colour?

Loved the beard, incidental background guitar muzak and vintage Mac!

I don't remember early versions of Illustrator ever being that responsive. I avoided it for years simply because it took nearly 20 minutes just to open the example files it came with on my IIfx or whatever it was.

If my memory serves me correctly, Illustrator 88 was the first version to support color. Illustrator 5 was the first version that allowed you actually work in color using the color preview setting.
